The health care startup saw 1,146 percent revenue growth from 2011 to 2014, plans to add 75 new employees in 2015
PORTLAND, Ore. – June 18, 2015 – Portland-based HealthSparq ranked third on Portland Business Journal’s list of “100 Fastest Growing Private Companies” in Oregon and SW Washington. A leading provider of health care comparison-shopping tools, HealthSparq saw 1,146 percent growth in revenue from 2011 to 2014, and added 125 employees last calendar year. This is HealthSparq’s first appearance on one of Portland Business Journal’s fastest-growing lists.
HealthSparq’s tools allow consumers to comparison shop for more than 400 medical procedures based on cost and quality information. With the tools, people can see the total cost of care they’re responsible for paying out-of-pocket and also the amount their insurance will cover. They can also shop around by seeing how costs and quality vary from provider-to-provider in their region and abroad, and consider alternative care options suggested through the platform.
