New Jersey-Based Health System is Leveraging the Kyruus Platform to Better Manage its Network and Connect Consumers to the Right Care
Boston, MA – June 16, 2020 – Kyruus, the leader in provider search and scheduling solutions for health systems, today announced that Inspira Health, a leading non-profit health system serving patients across southern New Jersey, has chosen the company as a partner in its efforts to enhance consumer access and experience. Inspira is utilizing Kyruus’ patient access and provider data management solutions to help consumers more easily find the right care matches and access appointments across its network.
Inspira serves its communities through a network of 1,300 providers delivering care across more than 150 access points, including three hospitals, two comprehensive cancer centers, 30 physician practices, several multi-specialty centers, and various other care sites. It opened its newest hospital this past December in Mullica Hill, NJ. Attuned to consumers’ evolving needs and its own evolving network, Inspira has taken several technology-driven steps – online and offline – to enhance access. Kyruus ProviderMatch® for Consumers forms a cornerstone of many website enhancements with a user-friendly care search experience, which includes the ability to route consumers effectively for COVID-19-related searches. Inspira will soon also implement online booking, enabling consumer self-scheduling directly into Inspira’s EHR from ProviderMatch.
To lay the groundwork for its new digital front door, the Inspira team first built a robust, system-wide provider directory with the KyruusOne® platform. This enabled them to not only capture rich and accurate data about providers – including their detailed clinical areas of focus – but also gain a single and dynamic view of the full network with in-app analytics. Powering Kyruus’ user-facing applications, the directory provides the foundation for Inspira’s access initiatives, ensuring consumers encounter accurate and up-to-date information. While building it, Inspira was able to utilize Kyruus’ updated clinical taxonomy to configure providers for COVID-19-related search terms, as well as incorporate a COVID-19 profile to surface more general guidance within consumer search results.
“As we think about the health and wellness of our communities, our people are our greatest asset,” said Tom Pacek, Chief Information Officer at Inspira Health. “As such, when we planned out our new digital front door, we knew we needed to start by gaining better visibility into our provider network. With Kyruus, we were able to find a single partner for both the provider data management foundation and consumer-facing experience.”
Inspira also plans to implement Kyruus ProviderMatch® for Access Centers to bolster the access experience for people who prefer to book by phone – still over 50% of people per consumer research. Deploying ProviderMatch both online and in its access center will help Inspira realize its goal of enabling more seamless and consistent access across the system.
“Inspira has done a great job evolving their care offerings to provide a wide range of care site options under the same trusted umbrella,” said Dr. Graham Gardner, CEO of Kyruus. “We’re excited to be working with the Inspira team as they undertake these efforts to make it easier for consumers to find the right providers and care options for their needs.”
