Magazine honors the best employers in Massachusetts
Boston, MA (November 20, 2020) – Kyruus has been named one of the Top Places to Work in Massachusetts in the 13th annual employee-based survey project from The Boston Globe. The Top Places to Work 2020 issue was published online at Globe.com/TopPlaces on the night of November 19th and will be in Globe Magazine on November 22nd.
Top Places to Work recognizes the most admired workplaces in the state voted on by the people who know them best—their employees. The survey measures employee opinions about their company’s direction, execution, connection, management, work, pay and benefits, and engagement. The employers are placed into one of four groups: small, with 50 to 99 employees; medium, with 100 to 249 workers; large, with 250 to 999; and largest, with 1,000 or more.
Kyruus was ranked number nine among 55 companies in the medium category.
Founded in Boston in 2010, Kyruus is a mission-driven company focused on transforming how patients access healthcare by making it easier for patients to find and book appointments with the right providers for their unique needs. The company has grown rapidly to serve more than 300,000 providers across 600 hospitals nationwide. In response to high market demand for its industry-leading provider search and scheduling solutions, Kyruus has expanded its team significantly, more than doubling since 2019. Kyruus employees share a commitment to the company’s mission “to enable human beings to care for other human beings” and its core values of caring, ownership, respect, and empowerment.
“At Kyruus, we’re dedicated to bringing together talented people who want to make a difference in the world and to cultivating a culture that fosters diversity, equity, and inclusion,” said Graham Gardner, MD, CEO of Kyruus. “Solving tough healthcare challenges requires creativity, collaboration, and empathy and I could not be more proud of the people who bring their unique perspectives, ideas, and talents to our mission each day. It’s an honor to receive this recognition from The Boston Globe, knowing that it reflects direct input from our employees.”
Kyruus continues to operate fully remotely during the pandemic. Among other ways the company has supported employees during this time, Kyruus raised salaries across the board to accommodate for remote work needs, added “recharge days” to its existing unlimited PTO policy, and broadened its wellness program to reimburse for a much wider array of services – from childcare costs to fitness apps – to meet employees’ individual and evolving needs.
“This was a particularly challenging year to be a great place to work, and the companies that made our list went above and beyond to keep their employees safe, engaged, and cared for,” said Katie Johnston, the Globe’s Top Places to Work editor. “From offering help with childcare to making the workplace more equitable to holding virtual talent shows, these employers showed that the best get better in crisis.”
The rankings in Top Places to Work are based on confidential survey information collected by Energage (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention, from more than 80,000 individuals at 285 Massachusetts organizations. The winners share a few key traits, including offering progressive benefits, giving their employees a voice, and encouraging them to have some fun while they’re at it.
