Boston, MA – December 14, 2021– Kyruus, the leader in provider search and scheduling solutions for health systems, today announced that Virtua Health, a leading New Jersey-based not-for-profit health system, will utilize the company’s patient access platform to enhance how people find and book care on its website. Working with Kyruus to modernize its digital experience will help Virtua deepen its ongoing commitment to its communities by spotlighting its comprehensive healthcare services and simplifying access to its broad network of renowned providers.
Virtua’s continued focus on expanding digital consumer engagement led the health system to seek a technology partner with established expertise in both patient access and provider data management. In addition to its leading solutions in both areas, Kyruus offered unique clinical services to guide the development of a rich, system-wide directory to enable Virtua to showcase its 3,500 providers more prominently and ensure they are easily searchable on its website.
“Connecting our communities to the right provider is central to Virtua’s mission, and that means providing a convenient online experience that makes it easy for people to access care,” said Tarun Kapoor, MD, MBA, Senior Vice President and Chief Digital Transformation Officer at Virtua Health. “Partnering with Kyruus gives us the tools to create a robust provider directory that maximizes our providers’ digital presence today and in the future.”
Completion of the new provider directory in KyruusOne® will enable Virtua to deploy ProviderMatch for Consumers on its website, delivering a user-friendly experience that empowers new and existing patients to search for, filter, and sort potential providers dynamically based on clinical and non-clinical criteria. Online scheduling will also be a key part of this project phase, allowing consumers to search for care online and easily book an appointment.
“Being here for good is very much about being here when and where people need us,” said Chrisie Scott, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Virtua Health. “Consumers are on their own complicated health journeys, and our opportunity is to show up and give them an intuitive online experience that provides options, simplicity, and accuracy to create value and build trust.”
Virtua’s goal of expanding access also extends to health plan access points; the health system intends to capitalize on Kyruus’ integrations to share selected provider data directly from KyruusOne with health plans. This will enable consumers to access more accurate, consistent information on Virtua providers when they search on their health plan’s digital provider directory.
“Virtua Health is taking a forward-thinking approach by building a robust provider directory that can serve as the foundation for better digital access on and beyond its own website,” said Scott Andrews, General Manager, Health Systems, at Kyruus. “We’re excited to help Virtua further its goal of providing South Jersey communities with convenient access to care.”
