PORTLAND, Ore. (December 9, 2020) — HealthSparq, a health care guidance and transparency technology company, has been awarded the NCQA Certification in Physician and Hospital Directories by the National Committee for Quality Assurance during the recent Health Information Product (HIP) Survey for HealthSparq One®. NCQA is the gold standard for health information products, and by complying with their requirements, HealthSparq demonstrates maintenance of required systems, documentation, policies and procedures.
“Here at HealthSparq we put people in the center of everything we do,” said Mark Menton, CEO of HealthSparq. “We are proud of being recognized once again as a company with high standards for performance. It illustrates our commitment to our health plan clients and their members.”
HealthSparq One is a guidance and transparency platform that delivers personalized experiences to health plan members to guide them through their unique health care journeys. They can explore and compare options for quality providers and venues of care, see cost and timing involved in their treatment and even access care on the spot or schedule it in real time.
By certifying HealthSparq’s Provider Directory, NCQA recognizes that HealthSparq One achieved substantial performance against the requirements in the Health Information Products 4 (HIP 4) category. Obtaining NCQA HIP 4 certification for provider directories involves a rigorous procedure in which vendors must objectively demonstrate how they comply with each element of the relevant NCQA standard.
